Vihang A. Naik

Vihang A. Naik (b. September 2, 1969) is a contemporary Indian poet, translator,
literary and art critic. Born in Surat of Gujarat, he read for a BA in English studies
and Philosophy and MA in English Literature and Indian Literature in translation,
all at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. After a collection of English
poems, City Times and Other Poems (1993), he published a collection of Gujarati
poems, Jeevan Geet ( 2001 ) , dedicated to the cause of victims of the 2001
Gujarat earthquake. His most recent publication is a collection of English poetry,
Making A Poem , published by Allied Publishers’ , Mumbai ( 2004 ) . Editors

A Disturbed Sleep
Dead poets
haunt your dreams
and disturb the sleep.
